About Great Chicago Advocates

Greater Chicago Advocates (GCA), an association of healthcare professionals in the rapidly growing specialty of patient advocacy.  We are inviting colleagues and the general public nationwide to its full-day symposium, “Now is the Time to Set the Standard,” on Thursday, June 22nd in Chicago. All qualifying professionals will receive 6 CEU credits.

Comments from GCA President

“We are excited that the symposium will take place at Chicago’s brand-new Shirley Ryan Ability Lab,” a new branding and new name for the former world-class Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago,” said Brad Schwartz, GCA president.   Just opened in March of this year, the 1.2 million square foot research hospital provides access to the latest research, technologies, devices, and clinical trials, with full-time researchers working around-the-clock.

She has served as a nursing leader, mentor, educator, and consistent patient advocate throughout her career in some of the best hospitals across the country. Her passion to keep the patient at the center of the model of nursing care led her to incorporate NShore Patient Advocates, LLC in 2011, serving clients throughout the northern suburbs of Chicago.
